STANDARD CERAMIC Ø 21 mm FOR TENSIOMETERS - SDEC 2150
APPLICATONS
This ceramic is used on most of our tensiometers. It suits most applications such as :
agronomy / agriculture
hydrology, soil mechanics
permeability studies
irrigation management
water potential studies on monolithes (laboratory experiments).
Porous ceramic essentially used in tensiometry. Because of its hydraulic conductivity and high air entry value, water potentials can be measured up to 850 mbars and more.
This ceramic is not adapted to soil water sampling.
Air entry value : 1,5 Bar.
Pore size : about 2 micron.
Hydraulic conductivity : 5,5.10-7cm.s-1 (*)
Weight : 30 gr.
Dimensions (**) :
Outer diam. : 21,00 mm.
Total height : 75,30 mm.
(*) K is an average value calculated in a sample of 100 ceramics of the same type.
