What do I measure ?

After trapping the radio-isotop, the metallic plates are placed into another equipment (spectrometer or other) for quantity determination

APPLICATIONS

This appliance is usable in all laboratories which look for radionucleid presence : nuclear medicine, research and control of parameters linked to the environmental field and all laboratories which have to measure transuraniens, actinides and radionucleids in general.

DOUBLE MAST ELECTRODEPOSITION EQUIPMENT - EDP 9000

This equipment has the same technical characteristics as the EDP 7000 electrodeposition device.

The most important characteristic of the EDP 9000 is to present two measurement places on the same appliance. It has been designed as a response to the lack of sufficient space which is quite often the case in most laboratories.

The second benefit is its price, since one EDP 9000 is less expensive then two EDP 7000.

Finally, the use of the EDP 9000 when many analysis must be done saves time.

Designed in association with:

The COGEMA (french nuclear institute)

Key advantages
1. SYNTHETIC MATERIALS.
2. TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF THE SOLUTION.
3. THREE SIZES OF SOLUTION CONTAINERS.
4. QUICK SCREW/UNSCREW.
5. EASY MAINTENANCE BY OPERATOR.
6. REVERSE POLARITY SWITCH.
7. INDEPENDANT TIMER.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

A specific electrode is diped in the solution which contains radio-isotopes.
This specific electrode, in rotary movement, represents the anode of a system whose cathode will be a small metallic plate fixed at the bottom of the cell (or bottle of electrolysis).
A direct controled and constant current is then applied to this solution and will entail, by electrolysis (chemical decomposition of elements to study in the solution), the galvanic deposit of radio-isotope(s) inside the solution.
