CARBON 14 SAMPLER WITH 2 VIALS (WITHOUT OVEN) - HAGUE 5000This equipment is designed to capture CARBON gas (CO2 or CO). It can be equipped with a cooling system that will prevent all sample loss due to evaporation in the feeding bottles. A microprocessor pilots and manages all functioning parameters, insuring thus a total security in its utilization on long periods. Functioning principle A flow of atmospheric air, precisely measured, flows through the HAGUE 5000 equipment. The Carbon 14 contained in this air as CO2 gas is trapped in a soda solution or a scintilling liquid in two feeding bottles. Further spectrometry analysis are conducted in a laboratory. The ratio between radionucleid quantity measured in the bottles and the quantitiy of absorbed air is used to calculate the C14 concentration.
