STANDARD CERAMIC Ø 21 mm HIGH CONDUCTIVITY - SDEC 2150HCH

Although this ceramic looks like the SDEC 2150 ceramic, it is a high hydraulic conductivity model (HCH) which suits soil water sampling. Its major quality is to have simultaneously a high flow and an average pore size which allows a use at higher vacuum levels than -700 mbars.

This ceramic has the advantages of both the SDEC6300 and SDEC2150 ceramics.

Air entry value : 1 Bar.

Pore size : about 2,5 micron.

Hydraulic conductivity : 8.10-6cm.s-1 (*)

Weight : 30 gr.

Dimensions (**) :
Outer diam. : 21,00 mm.
Total height : 75,30 mm.

(*) K is an average value calculated from a sample of 100 ceramics of the same type.
(**) Tolerances on diameter dimensions : ± 0,5 mm.

APPLICATIONS

This ceramic is used on most of our tensiometers. It suits most applications such as :

Soil water sampling for soil pollutants analysis.

Polluted sites monitoring.

Passive sampler when used as a piezometer.

Groundwater monitoring and protecting.

Nitrogen balance in agricultural soils, pesticide detection.
